Stephen R Hill CB; OBE; BA; CEng.

A former, Chief Executive of the UK’s Defence Aviation Repair Agency (DARA) and the Naval Aircraft Repair Organisation Steve is a strategic change management expert and innovative leader who has driven substantial and sustained change through major organisations. While at DARA he introduced a lean transformation initiative leading to increased output and quality while reducing turn-round times. He was also formerly the Chief Executive of the Naval Aircraft Repair Organisation. He has held other Senior Management positions including: International Business Development General Manager, BAE SYSTEMS; Projects and Technical Director – FRA/Serco Ltd; Director Support Management of the Royal Air Force in rank of Air Commodore: responsible for the Logistic Support and Fleet Management of RAF’s Tornado Force. He has considerable experience of working directly with Ministers and Central Government and Parliamentary processes having worked at senior level in the FCO, Treasury, MOD, Cabinet Office, OGC, BIS, NAO, and Welsh Assembly. He has wide ranging commercial skills and knowledge that enables him to work successfully at the interface of the public and private sectors. He is also a trained, accredited, and experienced coach. Steve has a BA degree, is a Chartered Engineer, and is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, and the Chartered Management Institute. He also holds a Diploma in Accounting and Finance. He was awarded the OBE following services during the Falklands War in 1984, and a CB in the 2004 New Years Honours list. Today, Steve works as a consultant advising companies on strategy and supporting them with driving change and growth management initiatives throughout their enterprises. Coaching, training and mentoring management teams while delivering change and growth forms part of Steve’s style and offering.
