Peter Somers LL.M. is a senior aerospace executive with over 30 years of experience in both an airline environment and an industry leading logistics solution provider. He has a proven track record of leading wide scale change in KLM’s third business – aircraft engineering, maintenance & overhaul (€1 Billion turnover). He turned Fokker Services into a lean agile, innovative aerospace service provider, simultaneously growing profitability to fund its own transformation. During his presidency of Fokker Services, he redeveloped & expanded it to support operators of various Bombardier platforms whilst securing continued operations of the heritage Fokker fleet worldwide. Significantly, he was able to reach a settlement with American authorities on alleged export control sanctions related to Fokker fleets in Iran. He has hands on experience with the Chinese aviation sector having been seconded to China Southern Airlines and has worked closely with COMAC senior management to support its ambition to become a major player in the global aerospace market.
