Lisa May BA; MSc.
Lisa was the Lead Program Executive for NASA’s Mars Exploration Program. She is expert in technical project execution, from strategic alignment and requirements definition to planning, team building, and partner/customer negotiations. Lisa has over 30 years’ experience, including 8 as a consultant. She provides leadership using NASA-proven systems engineering and management practices. She has managed large programs, where she was responsible for planning future Mars missions and managing the program’s $300M annual budget formulation and execution. While at NASA, Lisa served as Chair of the International Mars Exploration Working Group, leading spacefaring nations’ cooperation for Mars sample return. In addition, Lisa was a Program Executive with NASA’s Science Mission Directorate where she led business process re-engineering, grants process, change management, IT systems development. Furthermore, she represented NASA on the White House Research Business Models Subcommittee amongst others. Lisa is experienced in leading small-business teams, agency-wide and international teams, and flight projects, as well as public-private partnerships.
