Gary Windas FRAeS
Having founded Hawksland in 1990, Gary was a specialist in strategic business development, commercial, programme, operations and supply chain management before his untimely passing in late 2021. He had over 35 years of Aerospace & Defence industry experience – 29 years as a consultant. He supported OEM, 1st-tier, Government & Private Equity clients with strategy, tactical execution and turnarounds – drawing on decades of experience, know how, market intelligence and supporting insights. He grew clients’ market share (including over $1Bn of contract wins), opened new markets, improved operational performance, reduced costs and cut spend. Gary has led several technology, aircraft aerostructure, engine and systems development and transfer programmes as well as managing and optimising global supply chains. He was a qualified aeronautical engineer and Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
